Tied Together

On television, every night

Buchenwald

Auschwitz

Guilt :

"How could this happen?

Those criminal Nazis - "

So says the announcer

in german,

now.

Not very entertaining

or enlightening

day after day

German media obsessed by the Jews, Nazis,

now

In the Sportkrankenhaus

where we run an experiment

On changes in german blood

an older german engineer

who reminds me of my father -

I love his hands

So beautiful, kind and strong -

says :

"I don't know, are the Jews

A nation, or a religion

I must find out :

It is a remarkable problem"

The Jewish Question.

He quotes an Israeli writer :

"The Jews and the Germans

are forever tied together",

What Bellettristik, I respond

and am divorced from him.
